Author-controlled AI revision

This page describes product direction, not a current public workflow.

TextifAI Arc is being built toward stronger editing and assistant loops, but those revision flows should not be treated as generally available in the current public docs experience.

Why this page is limited

The product direction includes canon-aware assistance for revision work. However, that does not mean Arc currently offers a finished, public workflow for AI-driven chapter rewriting or revision.

Today, the safer public model is:

• the author writes and edits the text;
• canon, evidence, graph, and review context support that work;
• assistant or rewrite loops should be treated as future-facing unless explicitly released.

Current practical alternative

If you want a workflow that better matches the current product reality, use the chapter editor workflow instead:

• Writing chapters in the editor
• Reviewing continuity
• Using the canon graph

Product direction

The longer-term direction still includes more helpful revision and editing loops, but they belong after the foundation is solid:

• ingestion;
• canon extraction;
• evidence inspection;
• graph review;
• author-controlled continuity decisions.

When those assistant flows are publicly ready, the docs can describe them as active workflows. Until then, this page should be read as future-facing product direction.
